A clean, crisp beer, Kolsch offers a very slight fruity flavor and aroma. It is light gold in color, with a delicate head. This light-bodied beer appeals to nearly everyone who samples it. Expect to enjoy a slight tang in the finish.
Tasting Notes:
Pours a bright golden, crystal clear pale yellow with lazy streaming lines of carbonation up the glass. Wow. Great nose, grass, grains and a bright floral bouquet with some chardonnay-like notes. An incredibly delicate sweet malt front interwoven with grassy, herbal hop notes with a subtle and pleasant drying finish. This is what a lawnmower beer should be! A welcome beer in the North Carolina light beer category and probably the best statewide bottled light beer and definitely the best NC kolsch replication. This should be the official summer beer of North Carolina. Prost!
