Tasting Notes:
Pours a vivid, cloudy orange with a huge wispy top that smells expressly of banana and clove. Looks impressive. Wow. I'm not usually a huge fan of hefe's but I've been to Germany twice and had the chance to taste some the true benchmarks in this style. Let me say: this is spot on. Creamy without being thick. Refreshing without being thin. Banana on the front sandwiching lemon notes finishing with clove spice. Definite wheat malt backing with spot on carbonation. This is one of the best domestic hefe's I had the pleasure to lay lip to. I have to say, Lonerider is bringin' it. They may very well be bottling the best beer in the state.
