Tasting Notes:
Pours brown to black as expected with a nice two inch head that recedes slowly. Slight bitter chocolate with cocoa finishing with dry coffee notes. Medium to heavy mouthfeel with some cream, smoke, and lingering burnt coffee notes. Only knock on this is that the flavors occasionally come across muted and the mouthfeel light. I liked the toasty, dry finish however, and at under $10 a bomber. it's well worth grabbing a couple (one for now, one for the cellar.) High fives to Sierra for the top notch packaging. Happy Birthday Sierra!

Style: Maibock/Helles Bock
Availability: Spring Seasonal
Format: 12oz - 6pk
ABV: 6.4%
IBUs: 42
Malts: Two-row Pale, Europils, Munich & Crystal
Hops (bittering): German Magnum & German Perle

Bottle text & Info:
As winter begins its slide toward the sunny days of spring, we bring you Glissade Golden Bock to help you enjoy the ride. Glissade is a remarkably mellow take on the traditional spring bock. With restrained sweetness, we emphasize subtle malt flavor, balanced against delicate aromas of spicy and floral European hops. This complex balance helps Glissade slide across the palate—bracing us against the last cold nights of winter, while its bright golden color turns our thoughts toward spring.
Tasting Notes:
Pours a bright golden hue, clear with gentle carbonation and half inch thick white head. Smells of grains, honey and wet grass. Nice noble hop spice up front with some granite and grassy notes finishing with some lemon-like souring on the end. A decent spring seasonal for the warmer days ahead. Overall, this wasn't nearly as horrible as I expected and it's certainly worthy of replacing Sierra's former spring seasonal: ESB. Don't get too excited though cause that's not saying much. Meh. Worth a shot if your looking for a new seasonal to check out. I didn't love it and thankfully i didn't hate it.
funny beer quote of the day: My wife picks up glass of this and takes a huge whiff......turns her nose up. "Smells like college!"
